“Apa gunanya ilmu kalau tidak memperluas jiwa seseorang sehingga ia berlaku seperti samudera yang menampung sampah-sampah. Apa gunanya kepandaian kalau tidak memperbesar kepribadian seseorang sehingga ia makin sanggup memahami orang lain?”

Demikian pepatah dari Emha Ainun Nadjib yang diharapkan mampu menggambarkan isi dari majalah Aksata ini. Kemewahan dalam mengenyam pendidikan yang tak tanggung-tanggung ditempuh hingga melintasi benua dan samudera, sudah sepatutnya dapat memberi nilai lebih terhadap kesadaran seorang pelajar.

“Aksata: dari Wageningen untuk Indonesia” adalah majalah keilmuan yang terbit pada akhir kepengurusan PPI Wageningen 2015-2016 atas kerja sama Divisi Akademik dan Divisi Informasi & Komunikasi. Majalah ini berisi artikel-artikel ilmiah beberapa bidang keilmuan yang terdapat di Wageningen University and Research Center (WUR) serta napak tilas akan satu tahun kepengurusan yang telah dilewati.

Aksata dalam bahasa Sansekerta memiliki arti tidak terputus. Pemilihan nama ini dilandasi oleh perhatian terhadap Indonesia dari kami, pelajar Indonesia di Wageningen, yang tidak pernah putus meski terpisah lintas benua. Menunggu kepulangan selalu dinanti, namun tanggung jawab sosial untuk mengingat tanah air selalu terpatri.

Akhir kata, kami persembahkan majalah Aksata: dari Wageningen untuk Indonesia. Selamat menikmati!
