Group Angklung PPI-Wageningen : Harmony of Bamboo - PPI Wageningen

Wageningen University mengadakan serangkaian acara One World Week pada tanggal 10 – 16 April 2014. PPI-Wageningen turut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan yang berjudul ‘Harmony of Bamboo’. Acara tersebut dilaksanakan pada Hari Selasa 15 April 2014, pukul 12.30 – 13.30 dan dilangsungkan di student cafe The Spot di Orion building.

Kegiatan Harmony of Bamboo meliputi penampilan dua buah lagu dari Group angklung PPI-Wageningen, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan workshop angklung. Group angklung PPI-Wageningen membawakan lagu tradisional ‘Burung Kakatua’ dan lagu populer ‘I have a dream’. Penampilan berlangsung sangat menarik, dan seketika perhatian pengunjung The Spot yang sedang menikmati makan siang pun terfokus pada permainan angklung. Setelah penampilan selesai, pengunjung diajak untuk mengikuti workshop dan bermain angklung bersama. Pengunjung The Spot yang mayoritas adalah mahasiswa (termasuk mahasiswa internasional) dan karyawan WUR sangat antusias untuk mengikuti workshop dan bermain bersama. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, pengunjung memainkan lagu Edelweiss dan akhirnya melakukan penampilan kolaborasi membawakan lagu ‘Vader Jakob’.

Sebagai penutup, tanpa persiapan sebelumnya, group angklung PPI-Wageningen membawakan lagu ‘Happy Birthday’ sebagai encore.
